| Women’s Writing Project: Currently seeking material for a feminist bible. We are a collective of women inspired by the works of Elizabeth Cady Stanton and “The Revising Committee” of the late 19th century. Our objective is to rewrite those bible stories identified by The Revising Committee as being degrading toward women. This will not be a critique of Christian bible stories, but, rather, a rewrite of many biblical chapters and passages from a feminist perspective. Deadline extended to: January 1, 2008 Specifically, we are seeking revisions of the following sections: Genesis, Chapters 2 through 12 Exodus, Chapters 1 through 8 Leviticus, Chapters 1 and 2 Numbers, Chapters 1 through 10 Deuteronomy, Chapters 1 through 6 The Book of Joshua The Book of Judges, Chapters 1 through 3 The Book of Ruth The Books of Samuel, Chapters 1 and 2 The Books of Kings, Chapters 1 through 3 The Book of Esther The Book of Job The Book of Psalms, The Song of Solomon The Proverbs, Chapters 9 through 31 Ecclesiastes, Chapters 2 and 7 The Book of the Prophet Isaiah, Chapter 3 The Book of Daniel, Chapter 5 Micah, Chapter 2 Malachi, Chapter 2 The Gospel According to St. Matthew, Chapters 1 and 2 The Gospel According to St. Mark, Chapters 3, 10, and 12 The Gospel According to St. Luke, Chapters 1, 2, 13, and 18 The Gospel According to St. John, Chapters 2, 4, 8, 9, 11, and 20 The Acts of the Apostles, Chapters 5, 9, 16, 18, 21, and 24 The Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Romans, Chapter 16 The First Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Corinthians, Chapters 7, 11, and 14 The Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Ephesians, Chapter 5 The Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Philippians, Chapter 4 The First Epistle of Paul the Apostle to Timothy Chapters 1, 2, 3, and 5 The First Epistle General of Peter, Chapter 3 The Second Epistle of John, Chapter 1 The Revelations of St. John the Divine, Chapters 1, 2, 12, and 17 Or others that you can cite.
